What does this mean?

During drop-off and pick-up times, the road directly outside our gates is now a pedestrian and cycle-only zone. By temporarily restricting through-traffic, we are transforming our street into a safer, cleaner, and more pleasant environment for our students and neighbours.

Why we’ve made the change

Our children deserve to breathe clean air and feel safe while walking, scooting, or cycling to school. By reducing traffic congestion at the school gates, we are:

• Improving Safety: Removing the danger of idling cars and tight maneuvers.
• Cleaning Our Air: Significantly reducing nitrogen dioxide levels around the playground.
• Encouraging Health: Helping our students start their day with a little extra movement.
• Building Community: Creating a space where parents and neighbours can chat without the noise of engines.

How it works

• The Times: 8:00am – 9:15am and 2:45pm – 4:30 pm].
• The Zone: Wadeson Road is closed to most motor vehicles during these windows.
• Exemptions: Blue badge holders wil be permitted to park in the school car park.

How you can help

We are asking all parents and visitors to embrace this change. If you must drive, please "Park and Stride"—park safely a few blocks away and enjoy a five-minute walk to the gates.
