The kitchen was the heart of the school this week as we celebrated Shrove Tuesday with a hands-on culinary adventure! Our students turned into mini-chefs for the day, taking their learning from the page to the pan.

The fun began with an Finding the Ingredients. Students worked in teams to identify and gather everything needed for the perfect batter:

• Whisking up the flour.
• Cracking the freshest eggs.
• Measuring the milk with precision.

The Great Medlock Flip

Once the batter was smooth, it was time for the main event! Under the careful supervision of our staff, students took turns pouring the mixture and—most importantly—mastering the art of the flip. There were plenty of cheers (and a few near-misses!) as pancakes soared through the air.

The Best Part: The Toppings!

From classic lemon and sugar to some very creative fruit displays, everyone enjoyed sitting down together to tuck into their handmade treats. It was a delicious way to celebrate the tradition and share a meal as one big Medlock family.
