Green Spaces

Our students have been working together with Ardwick climate to make the community they live and learn in a healthier and happier environment for everyone.

Our students  from Eco Council and Gardening club were invited to attend the launch of Ardwick Climate Actions green routes with Ms Hopkins. They took part in designing a patch for a climate change awareness banner, planted lavender and went on a walk around part of the green route. Two of the boys from year 5 read out letters that they had written as part of their sustainability work highlighting pollution in Ardwick. They were all great ambassadors for the school.

Our students have also walked the new green routes scanning the new QR codes which provide information about the area, what plants are planted there and how many.

The news article for the event is here which we made it into the Manchester Evening News!!
